Many subscribers of all the popular networks in Nigeria has been wondering if it's actually possible to share data with their friends and loved ones. Well it's not a secret anymore that you can actually share your data on any network in Nigeria.
Just like you are allowed to share airtime with family and friends, network providers also lets you share your data bundle with your loved ones. Even though the one most of us are familiar with is Glo, this service is also available on MTN, Etisalat and Airtel.
In this post I will show you how to share your data bundle with your family and friends on MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat. Note that you can only share your data with phone numbers that are on the same network.
How to Share MTN Data Bundle
>1 First, register for the MTN data share by dialing *131*2*1# or SMS REG to 131.
>2 You will receive your own unique security PIN.
>3 To change the PIN, dial *131*2*5# or SMS "CHANGE(space)your old pin(space)your new pin"
E.g "CHANGE 0000 1234". Where "0000" is the old pin and "1234" is your new pin.
>4 after changing the pin, dial *131*2*3# to add beneficiaries to your MTN Data Share Account.
* The maximum is 5 beneficiaries.
>5 To share your data bundle with your already added beneficiaries, dial *131*2*4# or SMS share to 131.
>2 You will receive your own unique security PIN.
>3 To change the PIN, dial *131*2*5# or SMS "CHANGE(space)your old pin(space)your new pin"

How to Share your Data Bundle on Airtel NG
Airtel has its own data sharing service which is called SmartShare. The Airtel SmartShare lets you share your current data bundle with another Airtel number or you can buy a new data plan for another number in form of a gift.
The SmartShare is divided into two which are;
Data Me2U: Allows you to send a bundle from your currently active data bundle.
Data Gifting: Allows you to buy a data bundle for another
Data Me2U: Allows you to send a bundle from your currently active data bundle.
Data Gifting: Allows you to buy a data bundle for another
How to share data on Airtel
>1 Dial *141*1*5# and follow the command prompt to change your pin and share data.
Note: the default PIN is 1234
>2 Dial *141# and select 5 for Data gifting and sharing.
>3 Select Data Gifting or Data Me2U depending on what you want to do.

>1 Dial *229*PIN*Data Volume in MB*9MobileNumber#
Eg: To share 100MB, Dial *229*0000*100*08090090090#
The default PIN is 0000, but you can change it by dialing;
*247*old Pin*New Pin#.
Eg: *247*0000*1234#. Where 0000 is the old PIN and 1234 is the new PIN.
