1. CLEAR OUT THE APP'S STORAGE
Firstly, some of problem do arise from the app storage and it often affect contact, gallery and launcher apps on our android phone. To clear the storage of any given app, just follow the procedure below:
- Go to the settings of your device
- Go to Application
- then click Application manager
- Swipe left until you see the All app tab
- Scroll to the affected app, click to open it
- Clear the cache or the data of the app
2. CHECK THE SD CARED OF YOUR DEVICE
This might seems odd to you but it can actually be one of the source of the problem. All you have to do here is to remove your SD card for a moment and try to open or launch the application without the SD card in your device.
If it works perfectly and doesn't display the error message again on your screen then you have the source of your problem. You might just decide on getting a new SD card. If you probably don't use an SD card on your phone, then skip to the next step.
3. UNINSTALL AND RE-INSTALL THE APP
If the app isn't a preinstalled app on your device, then you can probably think of uninstalling such app and reinstalling it again.
To uninstall an app, just go to the app section in the setting of your device, find the app you want to uninstall and click the uninstall button.
4. TURN YOUR DEVICE OFF AND ON AGAIN
Doing a soft reboot or restart might just be what your phone need to rectify the problem. If the above mentioned solution hasn't worked for you just yet. Consider restarting your phone for just a few minute might just help the device to reset some sluggish app on the device.
5. FACTORY RESETTING OF YOUR DEVICE
This should actually be the last resort after you have done either one or two of those procedures i have listed above. But if after perform any of the above listed options, then i would advice you to do a factory resetting of your device.
But make sure before you do the factory resetting that you have adequately backed up all of your data. Performing a factory reset of your device will return the phone to the factory defaults without bugs or any persistent issues you might have faced before. So after doing the factory reset, you can easily restore your data which you have backed up earlier.
